Hitting DRILLS
Hitting Drill: High Tee Drill
Use this drill to work on having a quick and efficient swing path to the baseball. People ask, "How can you work on hitting velocity off a tee?" This drill is your best bet. Forces you to be short and sweet.
Setup: Lane 3 about sternum level high. 4 seam.
Goal: Line drive to back net. Don't hit the top netting or the ground.
Tip: Attack the top half of the baseball. Keep barrel above the ball. Stay on top.
Hitting Drill: 2 Fakes and Go
Use this drill to activate your lower half. Swing with your legs.
Setup: Start with lane 3, waist high. But you can change it to different lanes and heights once you get the idea.
Goal: Don’t stop the rhythm. Be smooth. Be fluid. Be aggressive with your legs.
Tip: Keep stride foot on the ground. Make sure your back foot shoes laces face the pitcher each time.
Hitting Drill: Top Hand/Bottom Hand
Use this drill to strengthen your arms and core strength.
Setup: Start with lane 3, waist high. But you can change it to different lanes and heights once you get the idea.
Goal: Hit a line drive.

Hitting Drill: Samurai Drill
Use this drill to explore your athleticism and work on being explosive.

Tip: Follow the tempo: "sloooowwww, GO!"
Hitting Drill: Happy Gilmore Drill

Setup: Start with lane 3, waist high.
Goal: Don't break up the rhythm, but be balanced in the end.
Tip: Don't dive at the ball. You should be stepping towards the pitcher, not towards home plate.
Hitting Drill: Palm Up Stop Swings
Use this drill to emphasize "palm up" and create muscle memory.
Setup: Start with lane 3, waist high.
Goal: Backspin linedrive to back net.
Tip: Swing about 60-70%. Shoulders should be tilted to help with the palm up movement.
Hitting Drill: Fence Swings
Use this drill to learn what it feels like to keep your hands inside. If you hit the net, then that means you went "out and around" instead of being short and quick to the ball.
Setup: Bring the knob to your belly button, and the cap to the fence. Don't move you feet from that position. Then take a hard cut.
Goal: Don't hit the net.
Tip: Not a whole lot of tips here. The fence doesn't lie.
